SEBASTIAN BACH Interviewed At OREGON DUCKS Pep Rally In Arizona (Video)
January 9, 2011Former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach and the guitarist for his solo band, Nick Sterling, performed "We Are the Ducks" — the "power ballad" about respecting the power of the University of Oregon football team (Oregon Ducks) — earlier today (Sunday, January 9) at the Oregon Ducks pep rally on the Bud Light Fiesta grounds in Scottsdale, Arizona.
"It's emotional and it's from the heart, and it's all about respecting the power of the Ducks," Bach said before the rally in a 3½-minute video interview (see below) with the Statesman Journal.
The hourlong event was attended by thousands of Oregon fans. One official said the Ducks' rally drew a bigger crowd than Auburn's, which was held earlier in the afternoon.
The official video for "We Are the Ducks" can be viewed below.
An MP3 of the song can be downloaded at this location.
"We Are the Ducks" was first performed by Bach during the January 5 edition of NBC-TV's "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" show.
"We Are the Ducks" features references to some of the places and things that make Eugene special — including mentions of the Willamette River, coach Chip Kelly and the team's much-talked-about spread offense.
According to KPTV, Fallon said there are Ducks and Auburn Tigers alums who work on his show and that they flipped a coin to see who would receive the power ballad.
"Every school has a fight song, but no school has its own power ballad," Fallon said.
The Ducks and Tigers meet Monday in the BCS national championship game.
